This Celtic Period Jewelry is hand forged in solid Iron with a matching movable cast pin. It is an extremely popular and attractive means of fastening two pieces of cloth together at the shoulder. With it's handsome hand hammered Black finish on both the ring and the pin, it will be an attractive adornment to any period garment.
Despite its authentic appearance and style of construction, this brooch is made by a modern craftsman and is not an an ancient medieval relic.
Measures 3 1/2 inches across the outside with the pine extending just a bit further at 3 3/4 inches. This allows it to full engage the ring yet not protrude too far.
