Beautiful, 16th century Shakespearean gown in burgundy & gold velvet and brocade.The gown is 100% polyester, and machine washable.
The gold patterned brocade fabric is inset in the front and the open sleeves have the burgundy inset.
The gown is a polyester velvet, and fully lined on the front panels, and train, and has a 19" back zipper. Gown is trimmed with burgundy, gold & silver metallic braid trim. Although the dress is 1 piece, the design gives the illusion of an under dress, and over gown.Comes with a matching headpiece. Dress is marked a Medium from the manufacture.

Length-50" * note-the front hem was taken up 3 1/4" and can be let down.
Back from neck to base of train-73"
Condition- excellent. The lining of the bodice is a white cotton material and is now pink because of color bleeding. This does not effect the the look of the gown.Almost all red fabrics bleed, so even though this costume has been washed before, we recommend  you wash it separate in cold water.
Couple of notes: The neckline of the dress was very wide, and would have required a woman with very broad shoulders. We took in all 4 corners of the neckline, (hand stitched) to keep the shoulders from falling down. These stitches can be easily removed if needed. Also, the dress is very heavy, about 4-5lbs., so be prepared to experience what woman of the 16th century endured.
