    Being offered for the first time is this heavy pedestal base cranberry glass creamer and sugar bowl with a substantially engraved sterling silver overlay in
    Art Nouveau
    design, made by the
    Alvin Mfg. Co.
    , Irvington, N.J. in the early 20th century.
    The silver cartouche on each piece is unmonogramed, and both pieces have the
    Alvin
    sterling mark on the underside and the style number 4450.
    NOTE*
    Overlay sterling is common for colorless and porcelain creamer and sugars, but
    rarely
    found in
    cranberry
    glass creamer and sugars.
    Selling as used In
    very good
    antique condition with no chips, cracks or missing silver.
