Darkened in places from oxidation as is regular for the metal. Small dent near the base. In a display for many years and practically never taken out. Not polished professionally to keep patina.     Description

    Greek Silversmiths in general enjoy great respect worldwide. Ilias Lalaounis in particular culminates as a Master Jeweler and has a huge following in many countries. His themes draw inspiration from Ancient Greek Motifs, being from the Minoic, Cycladic, Classical age. The implementation of these motifs many times are replicas of Museum pieces and others have a more modern touch/interpretation.
    There is a Museum near the Acropolis, in Athens that bears his name and pays tribute to his creations.
    This beautiful cup is classical, yet  will suit any modern house. Circular form with a handle that extends high. The hammered pattern inside is beautiful and typical of Greek cups.
    It is 123.6 gramms heavy and 13 cms high approximately. 7.5 cms wide at the brim approximately. There are no accompanying boxes or papers.
    Lighting in my pictures is uneven and reflections and shadows might appear. I try to photograph in the best light conditions to get as close to the original colours as possible. Part of a personal collection.
