Cast Iron Evens Patent 1854 percussion Seal Embosser This is one of the first Seal Embossers ever patented
in the United States. It measures 4 1/2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches across. Rare model with exposed spring, excellent display condition. From my collection Norcal seal collectors. Examine photos, bid wisely, no returns as reducing collection. This was for the city of Gaysport city council. Gaysport was laid out in 1880 by Asa Gay, and named for him.[2] A post office called Gaysport was established in 1888, and remained in operation until 1926.[3]
