    Up for auction is an original and authentic Civil War issue of THE NEW YORK TIMES newspaper dated April 28, 1865 with headline news and full front pages coverage of the latest details of the pursuit and subsequent death of JOHN WILKES BOOTH , the assassin of President Abraham Lincoln . A scarce issue with other war news as well . Eight pages, size 16” x 22” , folded to 8” x 11” Very good condition with some normal aging considering it’s 156 years old. There is a slight wear in the middle of the fold of the newspaper doesn’t affect the rest of the text . The newspaper is uncut.
    This issue of the NEW YORK TIMES dated April 28, 1865 , gives a detailed account of the pursuit and death of John Wilkes Booth and would make great addition to your collection.
