Beautiful
gemstone mourning earrings with gold filled screw back findings for non pierced ears.
Large cut amethyst are bezel set in ring of black enamel with edges of gold. Stone is set in wide-open back settings to let in as much light as possible. Gold filled setting. No marks. Excellent condition. Unknown date.
Earring face is 5/8" across, of which amethyst are 3/8". Estimated in the settings, the stones are 1.8 caret each, or 3.6 total caret weight.
