Hello there. Thank you for your interest in my item.Approximately 98 grams in weight. 3.5 ounces.
Brief history and description
The Frank M. Whiting Company was founded in 1878 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts by the son of William Whiting, (the founder of the Whiting Manufacturing Co), and became well known for manufacturing a variety of different sterling silver items such as silverware, pitchers, bowls, tea sets, candlesticks and much more.
The company has had numerous name changes throughout its history, such as the F.M. Whiting & Co. in 1878, F.M. Whiting in 1891, and the F.M. Whiting Co. in 1895.
The image with the chimera/lion leaning over the W wasn't used after 1896.
Good luck on your bidding/buying.
Shipping is easy. I'll get your item packaged and mailed within one business day after receiving payment for auctions won.
As always, I recommend viewing my other items for similar (or even different) things that may interest you, as it may provide discounts in shipping, or discounts through specials that might be running.
I do NOT return items for "buyers remorse". That is, if you just decide that you shouldn't have bought the item. Items that arrive broken or defective will get you a full refund and my apologies, though. I enjoy making money, but I won't do it at your expense and would like for us to BOTH be happy.
Disclaimer: Some of what I sell comes from other households, so I don't know if they come from people with animals, or smokers, etc. It's worth noting that anything that can absorb smells should be washed upon receipt. My place has no smoking/animals, and if an item does smell abnormally, I'll mention it in the listing.
