Offered today an exquisite c.1899 A.G. Schultz Sterling Silver Floral Repousse Cream and Sugar set in EXCELLENT condition. This is a rare and lovely turn of the century matching set in a Baltimore Rose design most likely part of a larger tea & coffee service. The creamer and sugar bowl feature fully repousse hand wrought roses and other flowers and leaf design over a stippled background. There is a floral swag trim encircling the tops and handles are a textured surface. The set was produced by the Baltimore silver shop of A.G. Schultz around the turn of the century and is stamped on bottom with STERLING and their "HAND" hallmark. The set is in incredible condition with only one "small ding" (see last photo) in the cartouche of the creamer. The name Johnstone is engraved in the cartouche of both pieces. The set has only been lightly washed and left with the original deep silver patina with very minimal surface wear (as would be expected on used pieces of this age.... which adds to it's character). I NEVER BUFF OR USE MACHINE POLISHING, after all I know most people prefer these vintage pieces to look natural and NOT NEW.
