21 In. Sterling Basket with Handle by American Silver Maker Gorham, c.1890
A gorgeous Gorham (American silversmith) sterling silver large basket with curved handle, circa 1890. The underside of the basket shows the maker's marks and is stamped "Gorham Sterling 9897 / 1".
The basket has lovely embossed swirl designs on the body and a wonderful pierced handle.
The basket is 21 inches tall from the base to the top of the handle and is 9 3/4 inches wide at the opening.
It is in beautiful condition.
